Quick start

From a new account to your first answering agent — and how the setup assistant helps.

Welcome

natix.chat builds specialized AI assistants that answer from your own documents and information — in the app, on WhatsApp, or on your website.

In minutes you can have an agent that knows your business and answers customers 24/7. Three key concepts:

  • Agent — an AI assistant with a clear role (e.g. “Customer support”, “WhatsApp bot”). It has its own context and knowledge base.
  • Knowledge base — the documents and information the agent answers from (PDF, Word, Excel, website, Google Drive).
  • Channel — where customers talk to the agent: the in-app chat, the website widget, WhatsApp, or Telegram.
  1. 1Create an agent from the template gallery (“New agent”) or start from scratch.
  2. 2Add knowledge: upload documents or connect a source.
  3. 3Test the agent, then take it live on your chosen channel.

No technical setup needed. Templates come ready — you just add your own content.

Workspaces, departments and agents

You organize your work in workspaces. Each can hold individual agents or departments with several agents.

  • Workspace — your container. You can have several (e.g. one per client or project).
  • Department — a group of agents on a topic (e.g. “Legal”, “Marketing”). When a conversation reaches the department, the customer’s message decides which of its agents answers.
  • Agent — the actual specialist, with its own prompt and knowledge.

Switch workspaces from the selector at the top of the sidebar. Each agent’s settings open from the agent page.

For a single bot (e.g. WhatsApp) you don’t need departments — one agent is enough and simpler to manage.

The setup assistant

Inside the in-app chat of a bot agent (website/WhatsApp) you have an assistant that helps you configure it.

The assistant knows your agent’s real settings and guides you on where to click: what to add to the knowledge base, how to test, how to connect WhatsApp. It answers in your language and uses the exact button names from the app.

Important: the setup assistant does NOT answer customer questions (pricing, products, contracts). Those are the live bot’s job and are tested in the “Test” tab.

If you tick “answer only from the manual”, the internal assistant focuses strictly on configuration, without mixing in customer content.

Shortcuts and tips

A few commands that speed up your work in the in-app chat.

  • Enter — send the message.
  • Shift + Enter — new line.
  • Alt + N — new chat.
  • Ctrl + K — search conversations.

You can attach images and documents straight into the chat to analyze them on the spot (vision).
