natix.chat supports PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, and common document formats. Each file can be up to 20MB. Documents with images are also supported — the AI automatically describes images and includes them in the knowledge base.
We use AWS Bedrock Knowledge Base for semantic retrieval (RAG — Retrieval Augmented Generation). When you ask a question, the system searches across all relevant documents, finds the most relevant passages, and the AI generates an answer citing the exact sources.
Yes. Documents can be assigned to specific departments or agents. Your HR agent only sees HR documents, your Finance agent only sees financial documents. This ensures data isolation and prevents cross-contamination of information.
All documents are stored in AWS S3 in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1). The knowledge base index runs on AWS Bedrock in the EU. Your data never leaves European data centers, ensuring GDPR compliance.
The AI always cites its sources, so you can verify every answer. It retrieves relevant passages from your documents before generating a response, which significantly reduces hallucination. If the information is not in your documents, the AI will say so rather than guessing.
The number of documents and total storage depends on your plan. The Free plan includes 500MB of storage, Pro includes 2GB, and Enterprise includes 10GB. There is no limit on the number of documents as long as you are within your storage quota.
